- Approval of Reserved Matters Applications for Plots 08, 15 and 22.
- Appointment of architects to commence designs for further plots to come forward.
- Completion of the Sitewide Archaeological Investigations in cooperation with Museum of London Archaeology and publication of MOLA Monograph 71 `The Deptford Royal Dockyard and Manor of Sayes Court, London’.
- Appointment of specialist Community Engagement and specialists in Culture and Placemaking to support development and execution of the Cultural and Meanwhile Use Strategy.
- Submission of ‘Initial Cultural Strategy Update’, ‘Public Art Strategy’ and ‘Heritage Design Proposal’.
- Meetings with Cultural Steering Group, local associations, interest groups and public consultations.
- Progressing discussions with Selchp in support of a Lewisham District Heat Network and Carbon Neutral Lewisham.
- Monitoring the condition of the Listed River Wall to support the design strengthening London`s Flood Defence and the Environment Agency`s Thames 2100 agenda.
- Key next steps:
- Bringing forward the long-awaited masterplan via the first three plots (Plots 08, 15, and 22) will unlock the substantial benefits inherent in the Outline Consent. Convoys Wharf has the potential to kick-start regeneration in Deptford at a time when investment in this area is critically needed.
- Further reserved matters applications coming forward on a rolling basis.
- Our commitment to bringing forward housing in Deptford is ongoing with construction commencement of the piling for Plot 8 completed, and work has now commenced on Plot 22.
- Hutchison Property Group is working with local stakeholders and the Cultural Steering Group to realise the collective vision for Convoys Wharf. The Cultural Strategy, which was approved in February 2023, outlines an approach for cultural programming, including a set of meanwhile uses. Local communities will be consulted to establish Convoys Wharf as a ‘place’ that will reflect the communities’ aspirations and reconnect Deptford to the River.
- Meanwhile use provider, Spaces&Stories, appointed in spring 2023, with activations to commence in early 2024.
