A new exciting jetty park, opening up the river front for the people of Deptford, has taken a step forward with Convoys Wharf announcing that work has begun on the project.  The 1.4 acres of new publicly accessible open space will be located on the current derelict jetty, which will be restored and turned into a lively public living space suitable for hosting cultural and community events.

Once completed a new Riverside bus stop for the Thames Clipper London River Bus service will be opened on the jetty, giving Deptford a new cross London transport link. There will also significant improvements to the local landscape, parking for bicycles and a new riverfront building. This will initially be used as a temporary marketing suite for the Convoys Wharf project before eventually being transformed into a riverside restaurant.
